Dreamy Landscape
36x36 x 2 oil on gallery wrapped canvas
This is a commissioned painting I recently completed and delivered. She had a vision based on one of my paintings she viewed at The Dutch Art Gallery. (pictured included)
It was a honor to work with her and bring her vision to life.
Thank you Pam at The Dutch Art Gallery for coordinating this large project. It was a delight!
A Field of Smiles
24x30 oil on gallery wrapped canvas
I was fortunate to paint giant sunflowers on location this year. I have been painting them in my dreams ever since. I was looking for patterns, shapes and movement in this landscape. Using a palette to introduce texture and color in the sky is what I imagined.

Golden Tops
24x36 oil on gallery wrapped canvas
Traveling to Colorado is one of my favorite places to visit and paint. This was inspired from a small plein air piece I painted while there. The aspen trees were surrounded by fall colors and cooler temperatures. As we experience the blazing heat of summer, its nice to dream of fall weather and cooler temperatures.

Lakeside Blooms
16x20 oil on linen
I was inspired from painting on location in Benbrook, Texas. The wildflowers were at a peak and stronger that we’ve seen in years. It was great to see the wide variety of color blanketing the landscape. This was my demo painting started at the Dinner in White event through the Art Alliance in Granbury.

Yucca Show

I created this at my friend’s Marys in Waxahachie. Her property is covered in wild flowers and these beautiful yuccas. They seemed so majestic sprouting above the wildflower. Painting in the garden with Mary and other artist is an amazing way to spend the day.

I am a sucker for sunflowers! The blue pitchers and vases made the colors pop! I created this from a small painting I created from a set up on my patio. The smaller version is available at Assemblage Art Gallery in Buda.
I worked on the larger version all year! Now that my sunflowers are blooming again I am inspired to paint more! Ha Ha

Gary’s Sunflower Garden
10x10 oil on linen
I spotted this row of sunflowers out of the corner of my eye driving thru downtown Granbury. I knew I needed to return as soon as I could before they faded. Gary, the homeowner planted giant saucer size sunflowers covering two sides of his yard. I started early before the heat and got to work quickly. I never met Gary, but did meet his friendly neighbors who came to check it out. It was such a fun morning.

Color Impressions
9x12
I drove around looking for inspiration in Waxahachie. I spotted this display of potted plants. The bright textured pots and contrasting flowers caught my eye. I wanted to get the homeowners permission to paint their lovely display. I could hear music coming from the back yard and tracked down Jacob. He was up on a ladder preparing to paint the house. He was gracious and allowed me to set up in his front yard and paint away.

Rainbow, Texas
11x14 oil on linen
The wildflowers have been over the top this year. I was driving along on Hwy 67 when I saw flashes of the purples, yellows, blues and greens. I had to turn around to check this site out. The flowers covered the yards all along this road near the river. The blue painted structures added to the appeal. This in a small town called Rainbow. To purchase or see more
