This foot bridge is located at the Chandor Gardens in Weatherford, Texas. I embellished the garden flowers with exaggerated brush strokes. I used the palette knife, but the majority of it was painted with a brush one block at a time. I love the fun result.

Goldfinch Invasion

The birds continue to feed on the sunflower seeds in my garden. Painting in the garden is a great way to idle the day away.

This painting is hanging in The Eyes of Texas Gallery a Baron’s Creek Wine Lounge. This is located on the historic square in Granbury, Texas. The show stays up until the 16th of January. If you get a chance to stop by and have some of their crazy train wine!

Summer Treats

I created this from a still life set up in my garden. My garden flowers just keep giving me more ideas to paint. Using acrylic paint, this has layers of color applied with both the palette knife and brushes.I finished it up by eating the sweet peaches.

50th Celebration

Garden Bunch-Sunflowers

Sunflowers are exploding with color in my yard. I took the opportunity to paint in the garden early in the morning before the heat set in.

I will enjoy their time in the garden and try to keep them watered so they can keep producing.

I just dropped this painting off at Baron's Creek Wine Lounge.  This is located on the historic square in Granbury, Texas. It's a beautiful space and a beautiful show.  Reception is July 30th 4-7. It will be on display from July 8th - September 20th.

Sunflower Quilt

I painted this on location yesterday. Finding fields of sunflowers is an annual quest. The farmers rotate crops so it's always a surprise where we paint. We returned to a favorite spot with a huge tree that provide shade in the morning. The flowers are in full bloom now! So fun!
