Sunflower Field at Sunrise11x14 oil on canvas

 I returned to the same location and painted another sunrise during the plein air event with The Good Art Company in Fredericksburg. The morning clouds were a nice contract with the happy little sunflowers.  I finished this up in the studio making adjustments and adding the house.

Warm Autumn Light 11x14 oil on canvas

I created this in the studio yesterday after a painting trip to Fredericksburg. I painted a sunrise during the plein air event with The Good Art Company. The  glow of the morning light on the dried grasses and wild sunflowers was striking on the cool dirt road. I was inspired at every turn.

A Sunny Hello 7x5 oil on wood panel

This was inspired from the fruits of my garden.  The sunny flowers seem to say hello my friend. I plan to have this at my show at Pottery Barn in Ft Worth, starting August 5th.

Sunny Ones 11x14 oil on wood panel

I love to change up the surface I paint on and using a wood  panel coated with a few layers of gesso is just what I need for a little challenge.  My neighbor let me pick some of her sunflowers to create this little still life. I was inspired.
